We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and presentation standards Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and report supply needs Plate and present dishes to meet quality and aesthetic standards Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations Maintain a clean and organized work station Follow portion control guidelines and minimize food waste Respond to special dietary requests and modifications Assist with menu development and food preparation planning as needed Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, catering, or institutional kitchen setting Proficiency in food preparation techniques and knife skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation Excellent communication and teamwork skills Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly Boyd Gaming is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
