If so, you could be one of the ta le nted students joining our Play Discovery department this year, where creativity and imagination thrive!   Start date:  September 2026   Le ngth : 4 months (until end of December 2026)   About us:   Creative Play Lab is an ambitious, future‑focused innovation hub inventing radical new play opportunities and never‑seen‑before experiences for   LE GO ®  fans of  today and tomorrow. We grow the boundaries of what play can become, using bold experimentation, advanced technologies, and deep insight into how kids play to imagine meaningful, next‑generation experiences. Our mix of creatives, innovators, researchers, engineers, and technologists rapidly transforms curiosity into tangib le   concepts, redefining the future of play and ensuring   LE GO ® play  remains  at the forefront of creativity and joyful exploration.   As an intern in our Play Discovery department,  you’ll  join teams dedicated to  le tting loose their creative curiosity and exploring new play experiences.  You’ll  un le ash your imagination across a range of innovation missions, collaborating cross-functionally to develop concepts into playab le  prototypes.   About the Internship:   We look for interns who bring something genuinely different to our innovation hub, adding fresh cultural insight, creative energy, and new ways of thinking. Your time with us will span personal curiosity projects, team capability-building initiatives, and innovation Missions. Every day is   different   and  you’ll   le arn directly from a world‑class multidisciplinary team as you build your craft, embracing ambiguity as you discover new play experiences.   Meet the Concept Model Building Exploration team: The Concept Model Building Exploration team works with existing   LE GO ®  e le ments (classic,  technic  and DUPLO) to create concept models. They integrate mechanisms and new digital and physical inventions into their designs to explore the future play potential of interactive   LE GO ®  models.   I nternship Eligibility:   To qualify for this internship opportunity, you must meet all of the following criteria: (1) You will be a student for the full duration of the internship period; (2) You are currently due to graduate after 31st December 2026; (3) You will not be requesting a delayed graduation date to qualify for this internship; (4) This internship will contribute quantitatively towards your course credit and is a compulsory part of your education; (5) You are availab le   to undertake this internship contract starting from 1st September 2026 and ending on 31st December 2026 in Billund, Denmark.   We also encourage interns to have experience with at   le ast some of the following:   Sketching   Painting   Sculpture   Woodwork   Graphic Design   LE GO ®  Model Building   Texti le s   Machine Workshop tools  e.g.  lathe,  drills  etc.   E le ctronics    3D CAD programs    Game Engines   Coding   Videography / Editing   Architectural prototyping   What  we’re  looking for:   Curiosity: Our teams thrive on a playful curiosity in all they do. You need to be always asking questions, seeking the reason “why ”,  digging for answers even when  it’s  hard and never stop wondering “what if...”   Bravery: Our   organisation   is a huge place full of different peop le   and different perspectives. You need to be comfortab le  meeting new peop le   every day, speaking up when you disagree, receiving feedback, facing the unknowns of innovation head  on  and forging yourself a path when things  aren’t  well defined.   Focus: Our workload and priorities are always changing. You need to be happy shifting priorities fast, focusing on a high priority task one week then focusing on developing your own independent curiosities the next.   Vision: Co-creating the vision for the future   LE GO ®  sets with the multidisciplinary team and pursuing the conceptualization of the prototypes.   Responsibilities:   We want you to bring all your energy,  enthusiasm  and experiences to work every day so we can achieve amazing things together whi le   you   le arn along the way. The costs of your accommodation along with your travel costs to/from Denmark must be covered by you.    We have multip le   Play Discovery internships availab le , each supporting a different team with their own focus area.
