The ro le of a Closing Expert   can provide you with the   skills and experience of :   G uest   service fundamentals and experience building a guest - first culture across the   store   R etail   business fundamentals , including   department sales trends, pricing and promotion strate gies, inventory management,   process   efficiency   and improvement   S upp orting   daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals   Promoting and engaging around   various benefits ,   offerings   and services   Communicating and interact ing   with   all   guests to build   a   welcoming   guest   experience   Blend ing   problem solving and decision making to positively   impact   the guest experience and resolve guest   concerns      Ability to adapt to different gue st interactions and   situations   As a   Closing Expert , no two   days   are ever the same, but a typical day will   most likely include   the following responsibilities:   Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:   Greet:   10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave   4ft: greet the guest, smile and   initiate   a warm, helpful interaction   Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience   End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you   Actively support team efforts and   assist   peers in other areas while   maintaining   a positive and respectful attitude   Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience   Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service   standard .     Consistently execute closing routines to deliver a   clean and organized   store .   Support business area teams in completing closing tasks as dictated by daily priorities and guest   traffic .   Support consistency in closing experience and routines   in partnership with the Closing T eam   L eader   or ETL .   Work in all departments to ensure   sales   floor is   full, zoned and in stock for   guests .     Follow processes accurately with attention to detail,   monitor   own progress   and accurately prioritize   tasks .   Operate powered equipment   safely and   only if   certified .   D emonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,   safety   and   compliance .   Work in a safe manner   at all times ;   comply with   all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.   Support guest services such as back-up cashier,   order pick up (OPU) ,   Drive-up   (DU)   Orders and Returns ,   and   maintain   a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local   adult beverage   laws.   All other   duties   based   on business needs.   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR   This m ay   be the right job for you if:   You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that   shop   our store and fellow team members you work with .     You thrive in a fast-moving, highly   active   and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.    You are open to   working   a flexible work schedule with varying hours,   days   or shifts (including nights, weekends,   holidays   and other peak shopping times).   The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to   k now to be a Closing Expert .   But   there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:   Welcoming and helpful attitude toward   all   guests and other team members   Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and   operate   handheld   scanners, and   other technology equipment as directed.   Work both independently and with a team   Resolve guest questions quickly on the   spot   Willing to educate guests and engage around products and   services   Attention to detail and   follow multi-step   processes   Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and   accomplish   multiple tasks within established   timeframes   We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect:     Accurately handle cash register operations   as   needed   Climb up and down   ladders   Scan,   handle   and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including   frequently   lifting or moving merchandise up to   4 4   pounds   without   additional   assistance from   others   Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights,   weekends   and holidays);
