ProSidian Seeks a Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering (DS107) Engagement Team | SCA - Labor Hour Subcontract located Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina supporting a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. Seeking Civil Structural Engineer candidates DS107.  This as a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Civil Structural Engineer (DS107) at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering (DS107) Duties:  Provide design and construction oversight of structural engineering tasks on assigned SRR Engineering Teams.  Structural engineering tasks include:  Analysis of structural systems for both static and dynamic loads using manual computation and computer programs.  Design of concrete structures.  Design of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber, and composite structures.  Foundation and anchorage design.  Structural analysis for impact, overpressure, and other accident conditions.  Preparation of CSI specifications.  Review of vendor documents.  Travel off-site may be required to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations.  Engineering services will use SRR processes and procedures, with programmatic guidance provided by SRR. Desired Qualifications For Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering (DS107) ( DS107 ) Candidates: Required Qualifications:  Education:  - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering. Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications Experience/Skills:  Minimum of five (5) years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.  Working knowledge of STAAD.  Familiarity with national codes and standards, such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.  Preferred experience in 2D MicroStation CAD software.  Ability to walk down systems in the field. Skills Required Work Hours:  A 40-hour work week is scheduled.  Possible schedules include:  5/8s: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.  4/10s: 10 hours/day, 4 days/week.  9/80s: 9 hours/day, alternating 5-day and 4-day weeks.  30-minute lunch breaks are included in the workday.  Excludes SRR holidays.
