Business Architect Analyst / Architect Lead - Senior manager

About the Program The Intelligent Operations FS Program, is a multi-year banking modernization program delivering a complex systems integration solution. Active workstreams span Know your Customer “KYC”, Estates, Core Efficiency Package “CEP”, Foundations, RPA/BOTs, and reporting. Delivery combines onshore client-facing execution with an offshore factory model across ServiceNow, Blue Prism, SiSense platforms and others depending on the client. Role Purpose The BA/Architect Lead bridges business and technology at the heart of the Intelligent Operations FS delivery. The role owns business & functional requirements end-to-end — from client elicitation through to UAT sign-off — and provides the architectural grounding to translate complex banking operations into implementable designs. The role carries weight in client-facing governance, offshore factory alignment, and quality gate enforcement. Key Responsibilities Lead business requirements gathering and BRD authoring across assigned workstreams (KYC, Estates, CEP), working directly with client functional and operational stakeholders Define and own functional labels and process-to-solution traceability; produce functional design specifications to the standard required for AI-assisted development (Claude-supported client WoW) Hold and enforce BA scope boundaries — business & functional requirements and UAT sign-off; coordinate with technical architects on To-Be design Run structured workshops and discovery sessions in English with client business stakeholders; if fluent in French and/or Dutch, will be required to translate outputs into English-language delivery artefacts Participate in stage-gate reviews, CAB governance, and quality checkpoints; provide functional sign-off at each gate before build proceeds Identify scope gaps, assumption risks, and dependency conflicts early; escalate with appropriate documentation to Delivery Lead and PMO Support test strategy and UAT execution — reviewing test cases against functional specs, coordinating client SME involvement, and signing off on test outcomes Contribute to program-level architecture decisions where functional and technical concerns intersect — integration data flows, platform constraints, and cross-workstream consistency Location and Terms Primary location: Spain Travel: 25-30% maybe required to program locations for stakeholder workshops, governance, milestone events, and client relationship management Collaboration with offshore teams (e.g. India) and vendors across time zones — flexibility required Accenture Level 6 Senior manager #LI-EU Required Experience Minimum 8 years in business analysis or functional architecture, with at least 4 years on systems integration (SI) programs in a consulting or delivery environment Deep understanding of retail and commercial banking operations — KYC/AML processes, client lifecycle, estates and inheritance handling, complaints, and core banking workflows Proven track record of delivering BRDs, functional specs, and process designs on fixed-milestone SI engagements; comfortable with stage-gate delivery models and freeze protocols Experience working in dual-shore delivery models, bridging onshore client teams and offshore factories — able to translate business context into unambiguous specs for distributed build teams Strong stakeholder management — able to navigate client-side functional leads, offshore delivery teams, and exec sponsors within a complex governance structure Preferred Experience ServiceNow platform familiarity — particularly FSO, CSM, or workflow-based implementations in a banking context Exposure to regulatory-driven workstreams (KYC/AML, GDPR, MiFID) within Belgian or broader EU banking environments Experience with AI-assisted delivery models — using tools to accelerate requirements, design, or test generation with human sign-off gates Architecture certification (TOGAF, ArchiMate) or equivalent applied experience Fluent in French and/or Dutch (written and spoken) is a plus Profile Operates with authority through influence, not position — able to hold functional boundaries under commercial pressure Comfortable in ambiguity; brings structure to complex, multi-stakeholder scope definition exercises Detail-oriented without losing sight of delivery momentum — knows when a requirement needs more analysis and when it needs a decision Politically astute — can read room dynamics between client-side and SI-side teams and adapt communication accordingly Plain communicator; produces concise, fact-led artefacts suited to exec and working-level audiences alike At Accenture, a company recognized as a Great Place To Work®, we are committed to a hybrid work model that, thanks to technology and our facilities, allows us to maintain the essential human connection to work with our teams and clients.
