About the Role: As a Baker with Concordia Language Villages, you’ll prepare high-quality baked goods that help bring cultures from around the world to life through food. You’ll manage bakery production for a variety of programs, prepare items for participants with food allergies and dietary restrictions, and help ensure consistent standards for quality, food safety, and sanitation. You’ll also provide shift-level leadership in the bakery, helping guide seasonal and part-time staff, coordinate production needs, and support the smooth operation of the culinary team. What You'll Do: Prepare high-quality baked goods for Concordia Language Villages programs, both on-site and off-site. Follow recipes, menus, and production schedules while maintaining standards for quality, presentation, food safety, and sanitation. Safely prepare baked goods for participants with food allergies and dietary restrictions, following established cross-contact prevention procedures. Lead bakery production during assigned shifts, including preparing task lists, coordinating work, and providing guidance to seasonal, part-time, on-call, and volunteer staff. Help monitor inventory, maintain production and food-safety records, and communicate operational needs with culinary leadership. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and culturally authentic food experiences as assigned. Maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen, bakery, equipment, and food preparation areas. Support meal service, participant programming, and other Culinary Arts operations as needed.
