Associate Director, Learning Design

Become a part of our caring community   The Associate Director (AD), VA CCN Learning Programs directs, monitors and supports all aspects of learning experience analysis, planning, design and development. The AD, VA Learning Programs provides guidance to identify, analyze, and address complex business challenges and opportunities within Humana Military through learning interventions. This role supports initiatives across Humana Military, aligning with segment vision, mission and business objectives through analysis of contractual requirements, development and implementation of an Annual Training Plan as well as consultation and design of change management solutions to maximize learner capabilities and operational excellence. The AD, VA Learning Programs leads cross-functional efforts, ensuring training interventions comply with federal contract obligations and prepare respective audiences for operational success in serving the customer. This position is created specifically to assist with Humana’s efforts to secure and, if awarded, transition into a new business opportunity.  Please note that continued employment in this role is expressly contingent upon Humana’s receipt of the business opportunity and a satisfactory transition into the work.  In the event Humana does not pursue the opportunity or determines that a timely and satisfactory transition cannot be achieved, employment may be subject to termination. The AD, VA Learning Programs leads a team of learning professionals to conduct needs analysis, design and develop learning experiences, as well as utilize learning technology to enable implementation and execution of performance improvement and professional development solutions. The AD, VA Learning Programs oversees the consultation, design and development process to ensure a customer centric approach and makes certain that design plans, solutions, materials and delivery mechanisms are thorough as well as address the identified performance gap or development need. The AD, VA Learning Programs works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial; leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data and information from internal and external sources; brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce learning solution recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis; uses consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis to determine appropriate and relevant solution; ensures that learning interventions align with corporate vision and utilize Design Thinking and Adult Learning Theory best practices and principles; identifies KPIs to create learning solutions that optimize performance outcomes and partners with colleagues to create holistic measurement strategy to validate business impact; selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function; advises executives on the development of functional learning strategies; tracks and analyzes training program effectiveness through diverse measures; exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks; works under minimal supervision; and uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Use your skills to make an impact   Required Qualifications: ·       Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position ·       Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Service) ·       HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract. We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico. Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field 6+ years strategic learning experience in healthcare or related industries. 2+ years project leadership experience, preferably in training development or strategic program management. At least 1 year of change management consulting related to human readiness. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Proficiency in developing, managing, and delivering training programs and materials. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret and apply contract requirements related to training. Competence in stakeholder communication, including formal reporting and presentations. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate across organizational boundaries. Strategic influence and analysis capabilities. Candidates must be able and willing to work  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time  on a consistent basis, regardless of geographic location or local time zone. Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Experience working with TRICARE, Veterans Affairs or government health care environments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Strong organization and analytical skills. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Learning, Education, Human Resources, or related field. Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and contract compliance.
