Bellingham, Washington | Full-Time | Hybrid
Flat-Fee Practice | Mentorship | A Real Path to Ownership
Limitless Law PLLC is an award-winning Bellingham firm serving clients across Whatcom County and Washington State in estate planning, probate, trusts, real estate, and business law. We are hiring an associate attorney who wants a long-term role, real client responsibility, and a path toward ownership.
About the Role
About 75% of the work is estate planning, probate, and trust administration. The rest is real estate and business transactional work for existing clients. You will have client contact from the start, manage your own matters, and work directly with the firm owner for mentorship and support.
The firm serves a diverse client base, including many LGBTQ+ and ethically non-monogamous families, so planning is often customized. Business development is not expected in your first year. This is a hybrid role with regular time in our Bellingham office.
Key Responsibilities
Manage estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters from intake through completion
Draft and advise on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and community property agreements
Handle probate filings, creditor claims, inventories, and distributions, and advise personal representatives and trustees
Handle related real estate and business matters, including deeds, purchase and sale agreements, and entity formation
How Performance Is Measured
Most matters are flat fee; probate bills hourly. You are measured on matters completed, client outcomes, and the revenue your work produces, so efficient, quality work is rewarded. Production goals are set together during your first 30 days.
Required:
At least one year of estate planning or probate experience
Active Washington State Bar license in good standing, or eligible for admission in Washington
Strong drafting skills and confidence with clients in sensitive conversations
A plus:
Small-firm experience managing matters from start to finish
Real estate or business transactional experience
