Assistant Professor - Hospitalist

Overview EVMS Medical GroupMacon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University We are seeking dynamic and motivated Hospitalist Faculty to join the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. This is a unique academic position that offers the opportunity to work in a leading-edge quaternary care referral center—Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH); a level one trauma center recognized nationally for its excellence across numerous specialties.  This position will provide medical care to patients in a hospital setting. May be involved with the clinical rating of medical students/residents. Responsibilities Provide medical care to patients in a hospital setting. Collaborate with nursing, office staff, administration in patient care. Collaborate with faculty peers, nursing and support staff. Participate in academic/clinical /research activities as needed. Participate in education evaluation and career development of students, residents, fellows, and staff. Participate in committees as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the Division Chief and/or Department Chair. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Skills: MD, MB, or MBBA Preferred Qualifications: Previous Hospital Medicine Experience in an academic setting working with residents and fellows.
