We're looking for an energetic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at 1810 Court St. in Pekin, United States. In this pivotal role, you'll support daily operations, lead and inspire team members, and drive exceptional customer experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you'll work collaboratively with store leadership to achieve business objectives while maintaining a positive, inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive.
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and executing strategic business goals with precision and accountability
Lead, train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards and foster professional development
Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues with empathy, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Manage inventory operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and analyzing merchandise data to optimize stock levels
Create and adjust employee schedules strategically to optimize staffing levels while considering team member availability and business needs
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain meticulous financial records with attention to detail
Implement, enforce, and communicate company policies and procedures consistently across all team members
Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming work environment that complies with health and safety regulations
Participate actively in marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive sales and increase customer engagement
Analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for operational and sales improvements
Support conflict resolution and address performance issues with transparency and fairness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
Proven experience in retail or food service management, preferably in an Assistant Manager or supervisory capacity
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and inspire team members
Excellent customer service skills with a genuine customer-focused mindset and commitment to satisfaction
Proficiency in inventory management systems and employee scheduling software
Experience with cash handling, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and financial record-keeping
Solid understanding of retail or food service operations and local health and safety regulations
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics
Experience in budget management and financial acumen
Demonstrated conflict resolution and team coaching capabilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field (preferred)
Proficiency with retail management software and digital tools (preferred)
