GENERAL SCOPE:
We are seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support the planning and execution of a national portfolio of demolition and land management projects. Our client is a large technology company for whom we manage several thousand acres across multiple geographical locations. This role supports program leadership in site readiness—including demolition, grading, utilities, infrastructure, permitting, and environmental compliance—and assists with tracking cost, schedule, risk, and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
The ideal candidate thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, is comfortable operating in remote geographies, and is eager to grow within large-scale site development programs. These projects are being developed as site-ready and vertical construction is not yet part of the scope.
The Assistant Project Manager is an integral member of our team, supporting the Company’s mission and core values by delivering high-quality, timely services to our clients. This position will serve as an extension of our team, with primary responsibility for supporting the planning, management, and execution of demolition and land management projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
In addition to supporting projects and vendors, key responsibilities include assisting with bid processes, permitting, site safety compliance, environmental stewardship, project financials, and reporting. The Assistant Project Manager will help ensure that all work meets client expectations and industry standards while maintaining superior client service.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help develop and track project scopes, budgets, and schedules for demolition and land management projects across multiple sites.
Support bid processes for demolition and land management projects based on site-specific scopes and regulatory requirements, including bid leveling and scope comparisons.
Support project execution, monitoring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with engineers, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies for site assessments and permitting.
Assist with permit applications and tracking, and help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Assist in soliciting, contracting, and managing subcontractors and vendors; support negotiations and monitor performance.
Conduct regular site visits, monitor daily progress, and maintain project documentation and reporting, including daily logs, photos, and meeting minutes. Scheduled presence will be required for most projects.
Support land management scopes, including site clearing, grading, erosion and sediment control, SWPPP compliance, and vegetation and property maintenance.
Identify potential risks, issues, or delays and escalate them promptly with proposed mitigation strategies.
Support oversight of demolition debris disposal, recycling, and haul-off; help ensure documentation, including disposal tickets, meets regulatory standards.
Communicate consistently with internal teams, vendors, and clients to provide status updates and escalate issues promptly.
Assist with project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, invoice review, and reporting.
Review contractor pay applications, schedules of values, quantities, and change order pricing; hold contractors accountable to scope, schedule, safety, and compliance requirements.
Promote and follow a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all job sites.
Prepare client-ready status reports, trackers, and schedule updates for the Director of Program Services, and attend client and contractor meetings.

Learn and apply best practices related to demolition processes, cost management, and site operations.
