Our Reality Capture team has an opening for a Reality Capture Technician / Architectural BIM Technician . This role could be based in the following studios: Dallas Des Moines Houston Omaha About Reality Capture at DLR Group The Reality Capture team utilizes a combination of lidar 3D scans, photogrammetry, photographs, and construction documents to create 3D models that elevate accuracy and safety throughout the lifecycle of our projects. Reality capture delivers ultra-precise documentation that captures details invisible to traditional methods. From historic preservation to commercial development, reality capture accelerates design phases and reduces costs. Position Summary As a Reality Capture Technician / Architectural BIM Technician,  you will use advanced technology to quickly develop digital models of existing buildings and spaces. This is a role where attention to detail is a must, as the deliverable is leveraged by DLR Group design teams or clients. Utilizing Revit, Capture, and visualization software, you will translate LiDAR or photogrammetry data into 3D BIM models or other deliverables. We rely on all our employee-owners to apply their financial acumen to grow the Firm profitably.  What You Will Do Communicate effectively with the Reality Capture team Prepare high-quality 3D models, drawings, or similar deliverables Perform Revit modeling from 3D point clouds Work in a fast-paced team environment to complete tasks accurately and efficiently Coordinate with architects and engineers on various projects Understand and follow DLR Group and client-standard BIM procedures for model setup, as well as standard drawing procedures for sheet layout Learn advanced Revit techniques and advanced technology topics Meet critical deadlines through efficient time management Communicate effectively with design teams Work with the Reality Capture team to leverage advanced technology Required Qualifications 2-3 years of Revit-related professional experience Understanding of building components Ability to manage and develop Revit families Working knowledge of construction documentation, with the ability to develop models that are usable for design, documentation, and scheduling Ability to plan daily activities to meet production requirements Flexibility to work with numerous project teams to support project completion Associate degree or currently pursuing an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related field Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position, including temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including OPT and CPT), TN, J, H-1B, or those who need employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. #LI-MIS DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.
