Application Support Associate - SQL

Overview About the Role Susquehanna is growing, and we're looking for an Application Support Analyst with strong SQL development skills to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business operations — you'll be the first line of defense supporting internally developed systems that our Trading and Operations teams rely on every day. You'll work alongside development and engineering teams, diving into data through queries and scripts to diagnose and resolve issues quickly. No prior knowledge of financial markets or securities is required — we're passionate about building that expertise together. The normal hours for this position are 10am-7pm to provide coverage for later business activity. What You'll Do Serve as the first point of contact for application issues arising from Trading and Operations environments, delivering timely and effective troubleshooting Leverage monitoring tools to proactively identify production issues, communicate their impact, and track resolution through to completion Manage an incoming email and ticketing queue, triaging issues by priority and escalating when appropriate Build strong relationships with end users, setting clear expectations and providing transparent communication throughout the lifecycle of every issue Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems through automation and technology-driven solutions Who You Are Our strongest Application Support Analysts share a few defining traits: Strong sense of ownership — you take accountability for issues through to resolution, even when the fix requires collaboration across teams Clear, confident communicator in a fast-paced environment where precision matters Genuinely curious — you embrace learning both technical systems and business domains, and seek to understand the “why” behind the work Innovative mindset — you look for smarter ways to do things and aren’t satisfied with the status quo Skilled at prioritization — you can manage competing demands without letting anything fall through the cracks What we’re looking for 2+ years of experience in an application support role 2+ years of experience with SQL development Required to work 10am–7pm to provide coverage for later business activity
