Job Details Angiography | Kettering | Full-time | First Shift  Responsibilities & Requirements The Angiography Tech performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures to visualize blood vessels and support the treatment of vascular conditions. This role ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, and compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating closely with physicians and care teams. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Required Education Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate's degree or higher) or equivalent as recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  Required Work Experience Clinical experience acquired through completion of an accredited radiologic technology program. Experience in angiography or interventional radiology preferred but not required.  Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R.T.(R)). Valid Radiologic License issued by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or must obtain within 30 days of hire. Skills  Proficient in operating angiographic imaging equipment and related technology. Knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulatory compliance. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide compassionate patient care and respond to emergent situations. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols. Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) documentation skills.  Essential Functions  Prepares patients for angiographic procedures by verifying identity, explaining procedures, obtaining consent, and ensuring appropriate positioning and comfort. Operates and adjusts angiography imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and adherence to radiation safety protocols. Assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional angiographic procedures, including preparation and handling of sterile supplies and contrast media. Monitors patient status throughout procedures, recognizing and responding to changes in condition or emergent situations. Documents all relevant patient and procedural information accurately in the electronic health record and other required logs. Maintains and troubleshoots angiography equipment, reporting malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Adheres to infection control, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality standards at all times. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities related to imaging services. Provides patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care as appropriate. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize workflow. Maintains required certifications and participates in ongoing professional development.  Competencies Employee has basic knowledge of radiation safety Employee demonstrates understanding of the usage of equipment Employee demonstrates proper patient identification Employee demonstrates consistent hand hygiene practices  Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience in angiography, interventional radiology, or cardiac catheterization laboratory settings.
