Position Information Hiring Manager: Controller Department: Fund Accounting Department Overview The Fund Accounting Department is responsible for the financial and investor reporting associated with Golub Capital’s private (e.g., non-Business Development Company) investment funds and vehicles. The team provides accounting and / or reporting for internal vehicles, limited partnerships and separately managed accounts pursuant to the governing limited partnership and investment management agreements and, where appropriate, in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Fund Accounting also provides Golub Capital’s management companies and leadership with reporting and analysis in support of existing business and new initiatives. Key responsibilities include the set-up and ongoing maintenance of investment vehicles / capital accounts; monthly closes and ongoing maintenance of each fund’s general ledger; production of quarterly financial and investor reporting; support of annual external audits of approximately 30 financial statements; forecasting fund performance; and producing management and regulatory reporting. To accomplish these responsibilities, Fund Accounting has sub-teams that focus on Private Funds, PEARLS (institutional funds and separately managed accounts) and Reporting. The Fund Accounting Department interacts extensively with Golub Capital’s Operations, Treasury, Tax, Investor Communications, Technology Solutions, Business Development, Compliance and Valuation Teams. Position Responsibilities The Analyst role aims to enhance the efficiency, scalability and standardization of processes to develop a customer-focused team and promote operational excellence. This role will join the Project and Process (P&P) Team, a sub-team within the Fund Accounting Department responsible for the management of key process improvements and systems. In addition to supporting internal and external constituencies for all subsystems, this position will mainly involve system maintenance, testing and development of various processes associated with Workday, all while adhering to strict deadlines. Primary duties and responsibilities include: - Managing and maintaining financial data within Workday, including chart of account consistency, system configurations, process flows and data integrity - Staying current with system updates and enhancements to optimize performance - Collaborating with Technology Solutions, Workday vendors and the Fund Accounting and BDC Teams to plan, test, implement and communicate Workday updates - Designing and creating custom Workday reports to meet stakeholder needs including Advanced, Composite, Worksheet and OfficeConnect for financial reports - Monitoring performance and managing integrations that transfer data between Workday and multiple subsystems (Wall Street Office, Data Warehouse, client systems) - Reporting and troubleshooting system issues promptly, working closely with Technology Solutions and system vendors - Conducting intensive research utilizing Workday tools such as Workday Community and Helpdesk to develop timely and robust solutions - Analyzing large amounts of data to produce financial reporting deliverables and analyses- Maintaining open lines of communication with project team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and any deviations from the plan - Assisting in various ad-hoc requests within the P&P and Investor Reporting Teams Candidate Requirements Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is required (accounting or finance preferred) - 2+ years of financial information systems management or implementation experience highly desired - Strong knowledge of Workday Financials, including Financial Management, Analytics and Reporting, Integrations and Adaptive Planning required - Strong Excel skills are required - Solid understanding of balance sheet and income statement financials and entity consolidations is highly desired - Ability to navigate and understand interdependencies of multiple systems and subsystems - Comfortable with a steep learning curve and seeking assistance from a strong and committed peer group - High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Proven ability to analyze complex problems, form accurate conclusions and recommend solutions - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills - Ability to take initiative, work proactively and independently while taking on new challenges - Passion for being part of a fast-growing environment which requires strong teamwork, high responsiveness, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong intellect and appropriate self confidence - Exemplifies professionalism, integrity and high motivation within the team and organization - Comfortable working in a dynamic environment under the direction of various managers depending on the task at hand - Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs - Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture Critical Competencies for Success Our Gold Standards define key behaviors and competencies across 4 dimensions:  Leadership, Achieving Results, Personal Effectiveness and Thinking Critically.
