Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA)- Community Gastroenterology- Outpatient Position Summary:   The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department/Division/Program of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the outpatient setting . This position is located in New Berlin , WI  at Moorland Reserve Health Center .    The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, and will ensure an environment of safe, patient-centered, quality care.   Position Highlights: Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in diagnosis& treatment of conditions requiring medical intervention in an outpatient setting and as a member of the GI team Order, perform, & interpret screening and diagnostic procedures & tests, and communicates and documents information   Facilitate & communicate with patients, families, & staff to promote continuity of care Perform procedures as needed Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care Attend required training and comply with regulatory requirements Acquire information on current trends in the APP field via educational programs, inservices, professional associates, and literature  Schedule:     Full time, 1.0 fte position with expectations for covering during core business hours (primarily 8 am - 5 pm), and flexibility required as needed to accomodate patient &/or business needs   Salaried (Exempt) status Department/Division Highlights:   Advanced, Patient-Centered Clinical Care State-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of GI diseases Multidisciplinary care model : coordinated work between gastroenterologists, APPs, and other specialists (e.g., surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, hepatologists) enhances outcomes for complex cases Specialized programs such as Dysphagia Institute, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, Pancreaticobiliary Center, and Hepatitis Treatment Program offer robust, focused expertise Leading Research & Innovation Division has active involvement in clinical trials across multiple disease areas — including IBD, hepatology, motility, and advanced endoscopy — often supported by NIH and industry collaborations A culture that integrates research into clinical care, accelerating delivery of novel therapies and evidence-based approaches Collaborative learning environment that enriches professional development Reputation & Institutional Strength: The division’s mission is broadly aligned with the Medical College of Wisconsin’s commitment to healing, discovering, and teaching , ensuring high quality in patient care, research, and education.
