Job Details Administrative Intern Responsibilities & Requirements *This is a time-limited role * The Administrative Intern provides support to organizational development and human resources initiatives by assisting with administrative projects, data analysis, and operational activities. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare administration, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of Kettering Health’s non-clinical operations. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.  Preferred Qualifications Education Required Education: Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s degree program in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources, or a related field. Preferred Education: Enrollment in or completion of a Master’s degree program in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources, or a related field. Work Experience Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Demonstrated interest in healthcare administration or organizational development. Preferred Work Experience: Previous internship or work experience in a healthcare or administrative setting. Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory standards. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Essential Functions Assist with planning, organizing, and supporting administrative projects and organizational development initiatives. Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support decision-making and process improvement efforts. Participate in daily operational activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating events. Draft, edit, and distribute communications, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Support compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements by following established procedures. Collaborate with team members and departments to facilitate project goals and operational needs. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards. Provide general administrative support such as filing, data entry, and responding to routine inquiries. Observe and participate in meetings, trainings, and other learning opportunities to gain exposure to healthcare administration. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
