Purpose As an Additive Manufacturing Print Supervisor , you will lead a team of highly trained technicians operating a growing fleet of Monolith LPBF additive manufacturing systems. You will own day-to-day print operations, improve equipment utilization, develop technical talent, and establish the operational discipline required to deliver consistent, certifiable production at scale.   This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in high-reliability, procedure-driven environments and knows how to build teams, enforce standards, solve complex problems, and continuously improve performance.   The Role Own Print Operations   Lead daily print operations with accountability for safety, quality, throughput, and delivery . Ensure build plates are executed in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and production requirements. Establish objective performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across the print operation. Identify operational risks and scheduling constraints before they impact production commitments.   Build & Lead a High-Performance Team   Hire, train, coach, and develop a growing team of additive manufacturing technicians. Establish rigorous training and qualification standards aligned with aerospace and defense requirements. Build technical depth and bench strength across the organization. Develop future technician leads and frontline leaders through structured coaching and development.     Drive Process Rigor   Establish and reinforce standardized work, procedures, audits, and documentation systems. Ensure consistent execution across shifts, technicians, and equipment. Identify gaps in processes and work instructions and partner with Engineering and Manufacturing Development to close them. Foster a culture where technicians understand not only  what to do, but why it matters.     Improve Throughput, Utilization & Cost   Improve printer utilization, labor efficiency, yield, and consumable usage. Identify constraints and opportunities across the print value stream. Develop and execute a pipeline of high-impact improvement initiatives with measurable results. Use data to prioritize investments and improvements based on operational impact and return.   Solve Complex Manufacturing Problems   Lead structured problem solving across equipment, process, material, and part-quality issues. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to identify root causes. Implement corrective and preventive actions that improve long-term reliability and performance. Translate lessons learned into improved processes, standards, and training.   Basic Qualifications Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.  Demonstrated success leading complex manufacturing operations in high-performance production environments.    Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing technical teams.    Experience using manufacturing data and operational metrics to drive strategic decision making and measurable business results.     Preferred Qualifications Leadership experience in metal additive manufacturing or other advanced manufacturing environments.   Experience with Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) production systems.    Experience with aerospace manufacturing standards, including AS9100 and NADCAP.  Leadership Profile   Proven leadership in high-reliability, high-accountability environments  Demonstrated ability to build teams, enforce standards, and deliver results under pressure High ownership mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement   Operational & Technical Experience   Experience leading operations in complex technical environments Familiarity with procedure-driven execution and qualification programs Experience managing risk, driving root cause resolution, and improving system reliability   Execution Skills   Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Comfortable operating both on the floor and at the systems level Effective communicator across technical and operational teams   Work Environment Performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of precision tools and materials. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. independently and 50 lbs. with assistance. May involve crouching, climbing, confined spaces, or work at heights. PPE (including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators as needed) and company uniform are required. May occasionally require extended or weekend hours to meet production deadlines. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on engineering changes, supply chain constraints, and program milestones. The environment demands tight cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program teams to ensure daily execution aligns with long-term build plans. Success in this environment requires hands-on engagement on the shop floor, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling risks before they impact key deliverables.
