This role requires creativity, compassion, flexibility, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others. Essential Responsibilities Facilitate group and individual activities that promote resident engagement and enjoyment Provide one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group programs Encourage resident participation and help foster a welcoming, inclusive environment Assist with games, crafts, music programs, special events, celebrations, and community outings Adapt activities to meet residents' cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support resident needs Assist with the creation and distribution of monthly activity calendars Maintain activity areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner Monitor and report safety concerns, equipment needs, or maintenance issues Support the department in creating memorable experiences that enhance residents' quality of life Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred Prior experience as an Activities Aide or within recreation programming is highly desirable CPR certification preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care The Ideal Candidate You are someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with others and creating moments that brighten people's day.
